HOUSTON-Deer Park investigators said that 49-year-old Tricia Mullins had a well-planned plan when she traveled from her home in Colorado to Texas from a popular family The fitness store steals clothes.
During a routine traffic stop, the representatives said they discovered that Mullins had stolen clothes from various Lululemon stores in Houston.
“We discovered that she hit all seven Lululemon in the Houston area on Saturday and Sunday, with clothes worth only $10,000,” said Deer Park Police Lieutenant Chris Brown.
Brown said that Mullins stole 29 pairs of pants valued at more than US$3,300, 67 shorts valued at nearly US$5,000, 22 shirts valued at US$1,700, and so on.
“She has anti-theft devices to remove those tags, so she removes a lot of security tags in the store,” Brown said.
Investigators said Mullins had a deliberate plan when the police found her driving through the deer park on Monday and found that her license plate was blocked, so they pulled her over.
“When the police checked the cars, they found this map, which listed all the stores in Sephora, REI and Lululemon,” Brown said.
“We classify it as a felony because the total amount exceeds $2,500,” said Assistant District Attorney Victor Flores.
Mullins was released after promising to provide payment in kind. She will return to court on June 9th, but the Deer Park police said that she had told them that she had no plans to appear in court. If this happens, Mullins will receive another arrest warrant, and if convicted, she will face up to two years in prison.
